Pouty Princess and Popcorn
This picture was from when we got home from Newhope on Sunday night. The time change has thrown all of the girls off of their schedule. So, Livi was exceptionally upset about...everything. She was crying because she wanted to be on the other side of the baby gate. She was wearing a tutu. It was so cute. But I accidentally delted the pictures that I had of that. So, maybe next time.
The girls had a great weekend. We went to Newhope to see family and attended the Halloween party at the fire department. Olivia won the costume contest for her age group and KayKay came in second for hers. Papa Truman and Grammie Retta bought lots of tickets for the girls to be able to play games and do the cake walk. I think we ended up with about 6 different cakes and candies from the cake walk. They loved it. They rode on the hay ride and played games.
Today is Poppa Rock's birthday and the girls were excited to get to talk to him on the phone and tell him Happy Birthday. They have a hard time understanding that not everyone has birhday parties like they do.
KayKay only goes to school two days a week now. So she stayed home with me and Livi today. She had a great day. She got to play with her make up and colored her whole face with pink lip stick. I think she is stuck in Halloween mode. lol
Abi came home telling of the presidential voting that took place within her Kindergarten class today. She said that she couldn't tell anyone who she was voting for. And at the end, her teacher, Mrs. Jacks announced that Barack Obama had won. Abi said she was sad about that. She also told us what she had learned in P.E. She identified her biceps, triceps, glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps, and calf muscles. I can't even figure out how to spell half of those words.
Livi and KayKay enjoyed some popcorn with Daddy tonight. They had a good time feeding one another. And then I think that they both realized that they were sharing a bowl, because she began to shove the popcorn into their own mouths as quickly as they could to eat more than the other.
They love to hear and smell the popcorn in the microwave. I think it reminds them that Daddy is home because he pops some almost every night while watching t.v.
